My trip is actually a mix of both! I was really beginning to struggle with the lack of sunlight in the UK, not helped by my house back home being very dark! So I’ve moved to Mexico for a few months to reconnect with the things I love - travelling, nature, self care and camming etc I feel extremely grateful to be living this way right now, it feels like a dream! I feel like I’m so much better at doing my job when my heart is happy 💜

I have TRIED to interact with Mexican people but honestly I keep getting stage fright with my Spanish at the moment!! I have to practice the conversation beforehand before going ahead and trying 😆 there are lots of people to practice on so it’s my own skill set in this area that is lacking 😅
Sights wise - I’ve seen a few ruins so far but not very many - I’ve been focused on finding my feet here for now. I have started to make some friends though which has been amazing, taking recommendations from expats on where to visit has proved really amazing! Word of mouth is always best!

I’ve honestly been taking it easy out here!! I go out for food a lot as it’s really affordable and tastes incredible, and I read and play chess a lot (something I always wanted to do more of at home but didn’t find time for). When I feel more adventurous I visit ruins or cycle to the beach or a Cenote.. or maybe a party 👀 I’m taking my time exploring though! 💕
