I shit you not, I've had thousands of fans scammed for money, hundreds of fans scammed for over $100,000, and a few for their entire life savings. This month, my attorneys closed over 22,000 fake accounts of me online. It'll be more next moth, always is.
Once they're drained, they're ghosted by the scammer and he goes on a search and eventually finds the real me "give me my money back!", and I have to explain to him what has happened to him. It's pretty heartbreaking in many cases. Not so much the lost money? They're more upset over the lost dream. Then they're angry as they think of all the sex talks they had, only to now know that was a Nigerian man punking them, punking their heart and their feelings. It sucks
We have talked about this on our Irrational Moms podcast, all the different online scams and photoshops we've seen over time.
